Gypsy Recording's "5th Street Studios" is engineer/producer Brandon Karp's private studio, and was designed to offer a comfortable, relaxed environment, for musicians to record at. Housed in a beautiful South Shore Long Island neighborhood, this professionally designed studio offers all of the amenities of the high-end NYC studios, but in a relaxed, no-stress environment. The studio is located within 5 minutes from the beach, boardwalk, dining, and nightlife, as well as walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping. Our control room offers a cozy setup for tracking and mixing, containing a digital console capable of 56 channels and 5.1 surround sound mixing. The front-end is made up of a variety of high-end digital, analog, vintage, and modern preamps which can get mixed around to match with our microphone collection. In the live room, you will find a flexible personal monitoring system that is fed each individual input through transformer isolated, mic level signals. Musicians have complete control over their personal monitor mix! The live room also houses a beautiful full drum set, an electronic drum set, and various percussion and other instruments. When at 5th Street Studios, you know who you'll be working with. Your project will be in the hands of a highly skilled engineer, with years of experience and credits... not a random "house" engineer. RATES / POLICIES
The studio is available for Hourly, Daily, and Weekly Lock-Outs.
Services include Tracking, Mixing, 5.1 Surround, Editing, Mastering, and More.

Bookings include full use of the studio, engineer Brandon Karp, and assistant engineer/interns when available. We are happy to offer production assistance and help with song arrangements during sessions.

Per-Song Rate - Includes everything from pre-production through to mastering = Starting at just $800
4 Song Demo - Up to (2) days of recording for 4 songs and (1) day of mixing/mastering = $1200
Karaoke Recording - Includes recording, mixing, and mastering of vocals to a stereo music track that you supply. Have up to 3 vocal parts recorded. Two song minimum, up to 3 hours per song studio time = $150 per song

All media and supplies are additional. You are welcome to supply your own media, but Gypsy Recording/5th Street Studios will not be responsible for any issues or problems that may arise from your own supplied media. 50% deposit is required to secure all bookings. The remaining balance is due at the end of each session. No materials will be released until balance is paid in full. We accept cash or PayPal (credit card payments can be made on-site through PayPal). There is a 3% surcharge added to all PayPal payments. Cancellations must be made within 5 business days to receive a refund. If cancellation is less then 5 business days, your deposit may be applied towards another booking. If cancellation is less then 48 hours from scheduled session time, your deposit will be forfeited. If cancellation is less then 24 hours from scheduled session lime, you will be billed for the full amount.
All clients are expected to treat the studio and neighbors with respect. If you plan to bring your entourage, please get permission in advance. If the studio or neighborhood is disrespected, the session will be ended without refund.
